I got into a pretty heated war of words with Dustin’s agent on Twitter about his client’s lack of retaliation. To reset: Near the end of the game on December 1st, Brown and Bergenheim were on the ice. The Kings had clearly won the game and Brown had ample opportunity, AS CAPTAIN, to send a message, to chop him in the teeth, even a two fisted slash, anything.

This pissed me off to no avail and I’ve still not recovered from it. I lost any and all respect I had for Dustin Brown that night and unless he takes that ugly Sedin looking cretin’s head off Thursday, he’ll be completely dead in my book.
A few games later when Anze Kopitar was run by Brendan Morrow, Brown didn’t answer the bell AGAIN, leaving the dirty work to the just back from a concussion Mike Richards.
The Rangers and Devils had TWO fights on the opening faceoff yesterday because of bad blood – I expect nothing less from the Kings and this scrawny little puke who will undoubtedly turtle the moment anyone comes near him.
Lets see which Kings players step up and go Clubber Lang. To cripple this maggot. To send him off the ice on a stretcher.

Brown will never be like Doan or Morrow, face that fact. As much as you want him to be he’s just not tough. He contributes with hustle and hitting then skating away quickly so to be left with his gloves securely in hand. That’s just the way it is and will always be. That’s Dustin, you like him or you don’t and that’s pretty much it.

Watching the game last night, sure, Lucic had a scrap with Kaleta, but the Bruins also got fucking shelled by a team that might not make the playoffs Plus, Kaleta even puts one in, just to rub a little salt in the wound. Second, I dont think I ever said the Kings should do nothing to Bergenslime. I think I was pretty clear in establishing a fairly accurate scale of payback. On the low side, getting yourself suspended, and on the high side, win, get the two points, and make it that much more difficult for the Panthers to make the playoffs. And in all honesty, the one who should go after Bergenheim is Richards, just like the one who should go after Morrow is Kopitar – the next time they meet, of course.

Nicklas Lidstrom, in my opinion, is the best current captain in the NHL. In 19 seasons, he has 1 fighting major.
Lidstrom has only been captain since 06 – How many fighting majors has Zdeno Chara had? I mean, if that’s the new “mold”. The Kings aren’t in the mold of the Red Wings, who score, they’re more like a softer version of the Bruins.

I did watch the replay you supplied – When Kopi is hit, Brown isn’t in frame yet. When Kopi goes down, Brown skates by looking for the puck. Brown absolutely 100% saw the check .

You’re both wrong and Mr. Barry is blowing it out of proportion as well. Brown is clearly in frame before the hit. He is not at the blueline nor did he take the puck there after the hit.
He was also coming in with a lot of speed to the net and picked the pass up from Kopitar at the side of the net. So while he was in the circle when contact was initiated, he was already picking up the puck by the time the carnage happened. That’s not enough time to change course, and there’s no way he could have known he would fall face-first into the corner. He did what any player would have done with a free puck near the goal, tried to score with it.
Nothing will happen cause they are gigantic vaginas. If anything does it will be because of a separate play. I say The mayhem line goes after him with a vengeance. Just for fucking principle. That is the nature of hockey. When the balance is not in order it must be restored. Brown definitely needs to go back to a 3rd line checking role. That is where he performs best

Brown was right there and acted like he didn’t know what was going on by skating away like a Loktionov/Voynov kind of player would. I haven’t had much respect for Brown since he was awarded the C. He is a horrible captain/leader. He NEVER stands up for a teammate or himself. He claims he patterned his game after Iginla? Last time I checked, Iginla is a man. He’ll step up when warranted.
As I’ve stated numerously, this Team that Dean has assembled is the wimpiest team in the league. Even Detroit fights more than the Kings. Thats fucking pathetic.
