Dustin Brown or Justin Williams?
I know this is beating a dead horse (when is a better time to beat a horse?), but I have to ask the question…
Who is more important to the Kings? Dustin Brown, or Justin Williams?
Looking at the lack of scoring in the playoffs Justin Williams is getting richer by the minute. Not putting the puck into the back of the net has cost several teams in the playoffs and I can only imagine what they would pay to have “Mr. Game 7″ on their roster. The Wild may have even won a game! The Habs may have won a few more.
Dustin Brown has tremendous value. Big, strong, hitter. Would Dustin Brown have been the difference for Montreal? Would he have been the difference for Calgary?
I’m not sure the Sabres WOULD do this deal:
1st round pick
for the 2nd pick.
Again, when you have a chance to draft Eichel, you draft Eichel. But you have to admit the Sabres solve two major problems. But if I’m Tim Murray, I pass on the deal.
I’m not sure whom the Kings would WANT from the Habs for Brown.
NEW YORK RANGERS:
Dustin Brown for Derek Stepan or Chris Kreider?
NEW YORK ISLANDERS
Dustin Brown and Slava Voynov for Travis Hamonic and either Lee or Strome (not that the Isles WOULD do that)
Maybe its a straight up deal for Dion Phaneuf?
Left winger Michael Mersch is certainly making a name for himself during the Monarchs Calder Cup run this season with 5 goals and 6 assists. Its unlikely he makes the Kings opening night roster next season but he could be the first call up next season.
Nick Shore isn’t exactly lighting it up, but Jordan Weal is and considering “little” guys are making their mark in the playoffs, Weal may be given a chance… Oh, who am I kidding, Sutter never gives the kids a chance.
Voynov may go to jail. According to the nurse who testified at the preliminary trial, Slava beat the shit out of his wife. Allegedly.
Quick, how many Kings players are at the World Championships?
The Ducks and Chicago. Who the fuck do you root for?
