If The Kings Were to Get Bigger, Who Should They Target?
Last season, by the time the Kings got to Chicago, they were black, blue, purple, and bloodied.
They had nothing left.
St Louis and San Jose did the best they could to beat up on the Kings, but couldn’t.
This season, the Kings are going to have to get a little bit tougher.
But who to target?
Steve Ott? What a pain in the ass this guy has been his entire career.
Tim Gleason? A severe upgrade over Alec Martinez.
David Perron? A much needed left winger with some grit.
Who would YOU target?
The Kings face their toughest stretch of the season before the Christmas break. They’ve already flown to the East 3 times and that’s taxing on the body AND mentally.
Saturday day game (where the Kings usually suck) followed by a trip to Chicago, THEN flying all the way back to L.A. where mentally they won’t be ready for Edmonton on Tuesday (they haven’t been mentally ready for any shit team this year, why start now?) then finishing with San Jose, Colorado and Dallas.
Have you wondered, much like I have, how Keaton Ellerby is doing in Winnipeg? 1 goal, 2 assists in 17 games, playing 16 minutes a night… and a +4.
Doesn’t look like many teams are calling Simon Gagne, are they?
Of all the suspensions this year… Matt Cooke only has 18 penalty minutes.
How come nobody’s asking about the condition of Colin Fraser? Today they asked him what his favorite color was and he replied, “plaid.”
So, there are now TWO General Manager openings and there’s not been ONE mention of Ron Hextall. Yup, you made a bad move leaving the Kings, buddy.
Shit, Bob McKenzie just mentioned Mike Futa as a possible GM in Calgary.
That’s a good pour.
