Kings Blow 3-1 Lead, Lose 4-3 in OT (video’s)
Thank God this is pre-season. I’m not ready to beat my children yet.
Listening to the game on I (don’t) Heart Radio over the internet was about as frustrating as having three strippers in your hotel room wanting to do nasty things with you and you don’t have a condom and the local 7-11 is shockingly closed.
It was nice having a friend who was actually THERE in Colorado giving me a run down on everyone (and the brand new scoreboard)
Ben Scrivens Kings debut was about as welcome as a fart in an elevator as 26 seconds in Benoit Balls scored. He settled down, like my son after the Lego store opened at the Topanga mall.
25 seconds later, Justin Williams tied the game on a pp (so glad at least ONE veteran King is in the lineup)
2 minutes later Nick Shore roofed one past some goaltenders’ name who would get me about 1,000 points in Scrabble.
In the 2nd, the Kings had a 5 on 3 for over a minute and a half… and looked like they we’re still being coached by Jamie Kompon.
Then the parade of Kings to the penalty box including the Kings league leading “too many men on the ice” penalty. Willie Mitchell singlehandedly poke checked every puck away.
Martin Jones started the 3rd in net.
The truck is slowing down and I’m about to jump OFF the Dwight King bandwagon. Oh, wait, he just scored with an assist by Shore. Nevermind. And here is the video straight from inside the Pepsi Center (thanks Golfnut!)

Martin Jones was welcomed by yet another “too many men” penalty that was on top of the Linden Vey holding penalty. Colorado cut the lead to one. Martin Jones was burned by Ryan O’Reilly on the game tying goal.

Ryan O’Reilly wins it on a really BAD shorthanded goal in OT absolutely smoking Voynov like a Bob Marley joint.
Darryl Sutter: “We didn’t get any saves in the third.”
Martin Jones to Manchester in 5…4…3…2…
Who was more visible, Casper the Friendly Ghost or Linden Vey? Andreoff “not much better.” Looking like Nick Shore now the leader to grab that last roster spot… if they can get him under the cap.
Former King Derek Armstrong was in the press box. He’s the head coach of the Denver Cutthroats of the Central Hockey League. So let me get this straight… Native Americans are pissed off about the Washington “Redskins” but using “Cutthroats” in this day and age of terrorism and random killings is acceptable???? WTF is this world coming to?
