Kings Shoot Wild
Can someone, anyone, tell me what Mike Murphy and the folks in the war room have against the Kings? Every single year a blatant, obvious to everyone in the league except them call somehow goes against the Kings.
I can’t explain it, and I’ve even had the privilege of sitting in the war room WITH Mike Murphy and there must be have half a dozen former NHL players looking at replays even the TV folks don’t have.
Nobody can convince me that Matt Cooke didn’t kick in that first goal. I’m just glad we won the game or I might have had a classic Matt Barry game one meltdown and said things I would have to delete in the morning.
Drew Doughty starts the season off correctly by continuing to expunge the ghost of Jamie Kompon, and Slava Voynov’s perfect pass is why he deserves so much money.
The fact that the Kings tied the score late in the third is a testament to Darryl Sutter’s “bend don’t break” system that finally allowed the Kings to capitalize on a Wild mistake and allow Jeff Carter to pick up right where he left off.
Save of the game didn’t go to Quick.
Trevor Lewis’ Save of The Game! (GIF).
Quick was spectacular once again, especially in the shootout earning the Kings a very important extra point.
Frattin wasn’t bad. He’s just my new whipping boy until he proves me wrong.
Will the Kings have anything left tomorrow in Winnipeg where it will be crazier than Amanda Bynes in a driveway
The Rangers were waxed like a surfboard in Phoenix tonight and they’ll have 3 days off to prepare for the Kings and their season opener where no doubt, every stupid ass transplant who couldn’t afford Manhattan so they moved here, will be in attendance.
Nice to see the two coaches who swapped teams both lost. How many of you remember when the Yankees pitchers Fritz Peterson and Mike Kekich swapped wives 40 years ago?
Dodgers won and I didn’t watch an inning.
The countdown to the #1 pick that can’t be had for New Jersey began tonight!
I’m so glad I’m not a Calgary Flames fan.
Hybrid icing sucks.
