Kings Sign Clifford / Sean O’D Back!
The Mayor broke the story this morning, and by the afternoon, the Kings confirmed the last of the Kings unsigned (Manchester still has a few) Kyle Clifford has agreed to a new 2 year-1.075 AAV contract.
The Kings are still thin on left wing (Dustin Brown, Dwight King, Kyle Clifford and Dan Carcillo…. Matt Frattin?) and now have as many forwards as a Coney Island beach crowd.
In even BETTER news the Kings have hired Sean O’Donnell to do what Luc used to do.
I absolutely love Sean and have been threatening him with putting him in movies (doesn’t that face warrant a bad guy cop?) but he moved to Florida to become a daddy. That lasted 4 months as he’s obviously bored out of his mind in retirement and missed the pungent smell of Gold’s gym in Venice.
Unfortunately for the Kings, they didn’t seize this opportunity to announce, “In Rob Blake’s first move, he’s brought back an old friend in Sean O’Donnell….”
With Nelson Emerson on the staff as well, look for the Kings to hire Derek Armstrong as special assistant to Bailey. His job will be to throw tennis balls (because those girls sure can’t) and hold the T-Shirt cannon.
I’m told by a Dodgers employee that you and I will be getting the absolute worst seats imaginable for the outdoor game at Dodger Stadium as they’ve already designated most of the stadium for sponsors and corporate interests.
