Ladies and Gentlemen, Your Playoff Bound Kings
They’re built for the playoffs.
They’re tough to play against.
They’ve just lost AT HOME to a shitty Toronto team, a solid Anaheim team and a Phoenix team who was tied with Dallas for the 8th and final playoff spot and were as desperate as a crack whore in need of a fix.
I’m beginning to think the Kings are Buster Douglas tough. You know, luck out once and then fold like origami.
The Kings must have been shaken up by this mornings very mild 4.4 earthquake. Williams was especially brutal, playing like a frat boy who stayed up all night doing blow then woke up when the temblor hit and just never went back to bed.
Doughty missed a wide open net. Kopitar was molested and violated by Smith. The PK failed. Okay, I’ll giver Smith some credit. Fine. Bitches.
Thank God for youth as Tanner Pearson’s goal was a thing of beauty and made me less pissed off… and I’ve been pissed off for about 5 days now.
Alec Martinez quickly made me forget Jake Muzzin and his awful penalties and I’m glad he wasn’t traded for a popsicle and a 38 year old. He’s been the hottest King. He’s had more goals in the last 4 games than Richards, King and Williams COMBINED.
This was probably the Kings best 2nd period effort of the entire season.
With a 21-0-0 record heading into the 3rd period with a lead, this one seemed like an easy 2 pointer.
But Hollywood released a film called, “The Return of Mr. Softee” and it didn’t get good reviews. Two in the 3rd period since the first time since Bush was still president and the Kings once healthy lead over the Coyotes is now down to just 5 points with an East Coast road trip upcoming.
The Kings are now 0-2 when Gaborik scores a goal.
If anyone is going to be the next captain, its not going to be Mike Richards. You ever see Richards giving a post game interview? That’s right. Never. Kopitar has been a King through and through and would be the next logical choice.
Speaking of letters, how weird is it that Matt Greene gets the “A” and is a healthy scratch for 9 straight games until tonight.
The Kings are 16-17 with Greene in the lineup., 33-19-6 with Muzzin in the lineup and 23-14-5 with Martinez in the lineup.
Gaborik has 2 goals in 3 games. That’s twice as many as Anson Carter had for the Kings in his entire career here.
Which one of you was stupid enough to buy an O’Kopitar or O’Doughty T-Shirt?
For those of you who ordered a Kopitar Slovenia Jersey, mine came today and its a beauty!
So…. who’s taking me to the game Thursday?
