Not a Happy New Year For The Kings
“Oh, we’re half way there – (oh!) Living on a prayer.”
Name the last time the Kings had a 4 game losing streak.
I can’t either.
Better NOW than at the end of the year when we’re in 3rd place and losing 4 games and wind up 8th and having to play Chicago in the 1st round.
No big deal.
Like I said, it happens to EVERY team.
At least the Kings scored on the power play BUT they let up 2 more shorthanded, which isn’t good.
Dean will be evaluating, making calls and trying to improve the team.
Meanwhile…. what’s the Kings record with Greene in the lineup?
Back to business after we’re recovering from our hangovers.
Thanks for a great year, folks. Since departing HockeyBuzz (oh, do they miss me and Cloutier) I’ve had a blast being able to write what I want to write and not have to worry about idiots. Thanks for the support and continued reading.
Half Way report card:
SUCKY PLAYER: Dustin Brown. Don’t know if he has Kopitar-itis from last year, but he’s been a disaster. Gonna need a helluva lot more from him in the 2nd half or he’ll be on the trading block (maybe Lombardi needs to start rumors AGAIN)
MOST IMPROVED PLAYER: Brad Richardson. Since leaving the Kings, he has 7 goals in 41 games. In 75 games with the Kings over TWO SEASONS, Richie only had SIX goals
LOOK WHAT I FOUND PLAYER: Trevor Lewis FINALLY recorded his first POINT of the season. 31 games in, 1 point and then Darryl Sutter complains about the 3rd and 4th lines not scoring? DON’T PLAY GUYS WHO HAVE ONE POINT IN 31 GAMES!!!
Justin Williams is SUPPOSED to have the year he’s having for the money he’s making so he gets no praise. Dwight King has exceeded expectations. Tyler Toffoli has fallen flatter than a Coke that’s been sitting for an hour.
The Kings are 13-8 when Colin Fraser is in the lineup. 15-11 with Carcillo in the lineup. 20-5-4 with Alec Martinez. Hmmm.
Minnesota Wild will fire its coach
Ben Scrivens will not win the GAA or PCT race
Dustin Brown will not score 20 goals
Columbus will not be any better with Nathan Horton in the lineup
The Rangers won’t make the playoffs no matter how many trades they make
