Now That I’ve Had a Night to Think About It…
I’m still pissed off!
THAT close to playing the Rangers in the Stanley Cup Finals. A dream come true for my favorite two teams.
I’m not putting ALL the blame on Jonathan Quick. After all, he DID stop a 2 on NONE, but he’s now given up MORE than 3 goals a game to Chicago. That’s NOT Lundqvist. Crawful robbed Kopitar, but has also let in 3 goals a game.
It just goes to show how important Rob Scuderi was. Trevor Lewis and Mike Richards have mirror images of punk vomit and why Sutter was running four lines is about as mysterious as the obsession with shiitake mushrooms. Maybe he’s finally met his coaching match in coach Q. It just pisses me off to see that quaint little smirk on Jamie Kompon’s stupid putty face.
Toews has outplayed Kopitar. Kopitar outplayed Getzlaf and Thornton. Shaw and Saad have ben far superior to anything the Kings have thrown at them.
Looking at the footage of Keith and Kane’s goals they came from the same place. The Kings clog the middle better than Charmin in your toilet and protect the net. That’s what they did. But that also constantly leaves the top of the circle wide open. Coach Q spotted a flaw in Sutters’ system and exploited it the way the music industry exploits rap artists.
But Quick has to be better. You can’t let up 9 goals in 2 games and expect to win. I’m starting to miss Ben Scrivens right about now.
The penalty kill has to be better. It has to be PERFECT tomorrow. No, it has to be BETTER than perfect. It has to avenge the shorty Toews scored against us shorthanded. Turnabout is fair play!
The Kings also scored 1st. In round two, that amounted to a 26-1 record. In this series it’s a bigger jinx than #2.
They’ll need that 75-0 (or whatever) record from those 3 or 4 players in game 7. If ever we needed Mr. Game 7, tomorrow would be that time. If there is such thing as a tooth fairy… I mean Easter bunny…. I mean Hockey God, they’ll let Williams score again.
So say the pressure is on Chicago is as dumb as my last blog. The pressure is on BOTH teams.
It’s been a phenomenal series to say the least. Filled with drama, passion and most likely a twist nobody will see coming. Maybe an illegal stick? I mean, why not? Hollywood regurgitates stupid movies from 20 years ago, why not hockey?
I have never heard Staples so loud as it was last night with the Kings took the lead and the promise of a Stanley Cup birth. I want to hear that sound again. This year. And not from my wife yelling at me to take the garbage out!
It’s not going to be easy.
Game 7 should fittingly be decided in overtime.
THAT would make this one of the most talked about dramatic series of all times. Until everyone forgets about it by Tuesday.
I still don’t think the Kings will win, but what do I know? I made vacation plans starting tomorrow following the Kings 3rd loss against the Sharks so I’ll be at some bar in the Caribbean watching… AND missing the 1st two games of the SC finals while I’m snorkeling with fish I don’t care about.
So, I say again, what the fuck do I know?
All this talk about “buying out” Richards – 1st of all, teams will be lining up for a 2nd line center who probably needs another change of scenery and if teams AREN’T lining up for a 2nd line center the Kings will NOT be buying him out. That’s just stupid ass-hat talk.
Where has Cuba Gooding Jr been? Hmmmmm? (Come to think of it, Matthew Perry, too.)
Say what? Someone typed in a search engine “gods shemale” and it directed them to bigmouthbarry.com. What is this world coming to?
