One Point is Better Than None
Gotta hand it to the Kings
After playing a day game yesterday, they could have easily been as tired as a Jay Leno monologue.
It was one of the most exciting games of the year.
They battled just like those guys in “300” but in the end, they lost like those guys in “300” because for the 2nd straight shootout, our goaltender couldn’t stop a beach ball.
But I admired their tenacity. I admired their aplomb. I admired the three times they came back.
The last period had more checking going on than a Chase bank. Paroling Jeff Carter from Columbus was one of the single best decisions Dean Lombardi ever made. The guy has simply been a beast. He’s been a magician, like that Galdalf character from “Harry Potter.” Of course you know what this means, right? Right before the playoffs, he’ll be injured. There I said it. Tack it up on your particle board at work.
I’ll take the point. If this is the point that ends the season with us one point ahead of the Sharks…
I have a feeling the last game of the year is going to be a 2 million dollar game. Whomever wins will have home ice advantage and an additional game.
“Why is that guys nose so big?” – My 6 year old when Darryl Sutter’s face popped up on the screen.
