It was business as usual for the Kings.
Ben Scrivens wanted to beat the Kings badly. He wanted to show them they made a bigger mistake than Elizabeth Taylor marrying Richard Burton.
Yeah, that wasn’t going to happen.
So Jeff Carter scores a goal, and Mike Richards skates right past him? No hugs, no ass pat, not even a “nice job, eh?” – Tyler Toffoli was more excited than the goal scorer.
Business as usual.
Show of hands. How many would like to see Dustin Brown and his upcoming 7 million dollars owed shipped anywhere? Taylor Hall burned him like toast. Even on the replay.
Matt Greene sat out his fifth game in a row because of some guy with a hispanic last name who has been stepping up his scoring. He has as many goals in 4 games as Mike Richards does in 40!
Okay, I’m in absolute shock. Like Jack Nicholson in “One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest” Shock. The Kings have now scored power play goals in FOUR straight games? How did this happen? Did Davis Payne finally torch up the crack pipe? Did the players just simply ignore him? Was it like Phil Jackson’s triangle offense that takes 2 years to actually learn?
You know things are going the Kings way when Trevor Lewis scores. I could have baked a rhubarb pie and planted a plum tree while the Kings were boring the hell out of Edmonton fans with their #1 defense in the 3rd period.
I have to admit I’m VERY concerned about Jonathan Quick.
TWO goals tonight Jonathan? TWO? To the OILERS?
Maybe he just had a headache or too many days off.
It only took ONE game, but Matt Frattin was a healthy scratch for Columbus last night
Nice sucker punch Nolan – he is scheduled to have a hearing today. (Update: He’s been suspended for tonights game)
Matt Moulson scored for the Wild tonight. I’ll be keeping score between Moulson and Gaborik, who still doesn’t look comfortable yet with Kopi and Williams (who seemed to be doing all the work)
Nic Deslauriers was called up by Buffalo and made his NHL debut at left wing recording 3 shots in 12 minutes of ice time.
One nice thing about the trade the Kings made with Buffalo is that they didn’t include Jordan Nolan.
