Streaks Over – No Big Deal
It was bound to happen sooner or later – it happened later.
The Kings were about as connected as college students studying during a bong party.
They were pooped and had nothing left for a Chicago team that was waxed like a surfboard last night in Toronto and was obviously looking ahead to playing the Kings.
For those saying the Kings still can’t beat the better team, I disagree. They were simply out of sync, out of gas, out of emotion, out of everything.
So the streaks are over. So was Chicago’s 20 something game non-losing streak streak last year, too.
- goal in the first period
- more than 2 goals in a game
- penalty kill
The Kings will come home and play a non-physical game against the Oilers, then step it up once again against San Jose on Thursday.
No big deal.
Can’t win ‘em all.
Sutter was perfect for sending Scrivens in front of the lions THIS game and keeping Jones fresh like a disposable douche.
Matt Greene was back in the lineup. Did you know, the Kings are 9-7 with Green in the lineup and 13-0-4 without him? Maybe you did if you saw my tweet. I like repeating myself.
Bernier Trade Looking More and More Like a BUST!
Matt Frattin = Healthy Scratch = again
Ben Scrivens = Benched in favor of Martin Jones
Steve Simmons of the Toronto Sun is reporting HERE that Scrivens is “almost certain to be traded” once Jonathan Quick returns.
If Quick is hurt again, that leaves the workload to a rookie? Not Lombardi’s style. And who would be the Kings back-up? Berube?
I say Steve Simmons is about as wrong as a Mexican vegetarian.
