The Rangers Finished The Job – Can The Kings?
You have to learn to pace yourself
You’re just like everybody else
You’ve only had to run so far
But you will come to a place
Where the only thing you feel
Are loaded guns in your face
And you’ll have to deal with
– Billy Joel
All of the pressure is now on the Kings, not Chicago.
I must say, having to wait until late in the 2nd period for the Rangers to score made me a bit nervous. I grew up a Rangers fan (before switching after I moved here) and have already decided to wear my Kings Boyle jersey (lol)
Will the Kings not only grab a spot against the Rangers in the Stanley Cup finals AND grab home ice advantage?
OR ARE THEY GONNA FUCK IT UP!?!?!?!?
The way I look at it, Chicago, in their crib had a 2-0 lead, blew it, and the Kings smoked ‘em like a brisket 6-2.
Last game the Kings were down 2-0 and 3-1, in Chicago’s crib again, and the Hawks had to resort to double OT to beat the Kings… at home.
So unless Kyle Clifford does something moronic like plaster Johnny Oduya’s face into a Play-Doh mold, the Kings should win this game. I know, I know, I’m scaring even myself with such confidence. I like me better when I’m saying things like “Chicago win win the series”
The greatest thing, I mean the GREATEST thing about the Rangers winning is that Vancouver let their coach go in favor of John Tortorella who turned the Canucks into melted popsicles, and now Allain is going to the big show… again.
The also nice thing is that Sutter > Vingeault.
But right now, Lundqvist > Quick.
Quick has been WILDLY inconsistent this post season. In 19 games, he’s given up 3 goals or more 9 times and he’s giving up 3 goals a game average to Chicago. If this is a 3-2 league, Chicago wins 3-2 tomorrow. (Whew! There, I’m back!)
Tomorrow nights game is going to be exciting, a nail biter, a puke between periods kind of game.
Lets hope “The Jinx” can hold “No Showtime” to zero goals this series and that Kopitar can shut down Toews who has been like Crazy Eddie… Insane!!!
Gee, I wonder who needs to step it up tomorrow?
Dwight King – 0 goals, 2 assists
Trevor Lewis – 0 goals, 0 assists
Mike Richards – 0 goals, 2 assists
Kyle Clifford – 0 goals, 0 assists
Alec Martinez – 0 goals, 1 assist
Hmmm, who have other teams been exploiting in the post season?
Michael Handzus -6
Brandon Bollig -6
Kris Versteeg -5
Niklas Hjalmarsson -5
To the fan who filed a report with the LAPD for having water squirt in his face by Corey Crawford… you’re an idiot (and I hope a reader of mine, which would, of course, prove you’re an idiot for reading me in the first place)
