Will The Kings Overcome “The Jinx”?
Quit your job.
Call in sick.
Smash your car into a brick wall.
There are THREE game 7’s tomorrow and none more important that the Kings who could become only the 4th team in NHL history to come back from an 0-3 deficit:
1942 Maple Leafs
Okay, wait… 33 years between the Leafs and Islanders – 35 years between the Islanders and Flyers.
The Kings are going to do it in only FOUR years?
Willie Mitchell out of the lineup… on the road… is bigger than Donald Sterling’s tears.
The odds of the Kings winning two straight in San Jose, without Willie Mitchell, is about as likely to happen as a free agent African American signing with the Clippers.
If this were a Hollywood script, you would kick the writers off the lot and have them smeared in pig excrement.
In 2011 the Sharks took a 3-0 series lead against Detroit and the Red Wings won 3 straight only to lose in Game 7. History repeats itself?
“The Jinx” who will be inserted into the lineup is 1-5 his last 6 games and the only win was vs the Oilers.
But hey, maybe I’m too hard on the guy. Maybe I should cut him a break.
He’s 8-11-1 vs playoff teams this season and was a -4 in the 7-2 loss.
Greene and Regehr?
I’m going to begin drinking…. now.
Greene is likely to get lit up:
a) like a Christmas tree
b) like a rastafarian joint
c) like Dan Cloutier
d) like Mel Gibson
e) like Willie Nelson (its his birthday)
f) like Mohamed Bouzizi (look it up)
g) like Obama’s economy
I understand ALL of the pressure is on San Jose and they don’t have THEIR top D-man in Vlasic, but a jinx is a jinx.
Niemi is going to be just a teeny-weenie pissed off he was benched like Russell Crowe’s career.
The Kings are going to have to play a penalty free game. Odds? About the same as me writing a decent blog.
Attention: Justin Williams. It’s Game 7.
Colin Fraser said hello and goodbye. He’s back in Manchester. So is Maxim Kitsyn, who remains ugly but had 14 goals and 13 assists in 33 games and a goal in 4 games with the Reign, who have lost 4 straight games to the Thunder – I forget to mention… Manchester also blew a 2-0 lead in Game 2 and lost 3-2
The sky is falling
